Accessibility (WCAG)

Make your website work for everyone — and meet the international standard for web accessibility.

What WCAG Is

WCAG, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, is the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. Version 2.2, Level AA is the benchmark most widely required by law, regulation, and contract. Meeting it means your website works for people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, magnification software, and other assistive technologies.

Beyond compliance, accessible websites are simply better websites. The practices that make a site work for someone using a screen reader also make it faster, cleaner, and easier to use for everyone.

Why It Matters

An estimated one in four adults in the US lives with a disability that affects how they use the web. That’s a significant portion of your potential audience. Beyond reach, accessibility is increasingly a legal requirement, under the ADA and Section 508 in the US, and similar legislation internationally. For organizations seeking government contracts or serving the public, compliance is often mandatory.

The business case is straightforward: an inaccessible site excludes customers, creates legal exposure, and signals that inclusion wasn’t a priority. Accessible sites remove all three problems at once.

What We Do

We offer accessibility services across three phases of a project:

Audits

A thorough audit of your existing site against WCAG 2.2 AA criteria. We combine automated scanning with manual testing, including keyboard-only navigation and screen reader testing with NVDA and VoiceOver to surface issues that automated tools miss. You receive a detailed report with every issue identified, its WCAG criterion, its severity, and specific remediation guidance.

Remediation

If you have an existing site with accessibility problems, we can fix them. Working from an audit report (ours or someone else’s), we implement the necessary changes: correcting contrast failures, adding proper ARIA roles and labels, repairing keyboard focus order, fixing form errors, and ensuring all interactive elements are fully operable without a mouse.

Accessible New Builds

For new websites and web applications, we build in accessibility from the first line of code. Semantic HTML structure, logical heading hierarchy, sufficient color contrast, visible focus states, keyboard operability, and proper alternative text, these aren’t retrofitted at the end; they’re how we build. Every site we develop meets WCAG 2.2 AA at launch.

What You Get

  • Full WCAG 2.2 AA audit report: every issue, its criterion, severity, and how to fix it
  • Manual testing results: keyboard navigation walk-through and screen reader testing, not just automated scan output
  • Prioritized remediation plan: issues ranked by severity so you can address the most critical first
  • Implementation support: we can fix issues directly or work alongside your development team
  • Re-test and verification: confirming all identified issues are resolved before sign-off

Who It’s For

Accessibility services are right for you if you need to bring an existing site into compliance, if you’re building something new and want to do it right from the start, if you’ve received a legal demand or complaint related to web accessibility, or if you serve the public, work with government clients, or operate in a regulated industry.
